2,370 COVID-patients identified yesterday

The number of COVID-19 cases confirmed in the country rose to 303,682 following the detection of 2,370 patients yesterday.

Among yesterday’s cases 2,329 were linked to the New Year COVID-19 cluster.

41 persons who arrived in the country recently from overseas also tested positive yesterday.

The Epidemiology Unit of the Ministry of Health said 25,862 persons are currently receiving treatment for the coronavirus at several facilities across the country.

Yesterday, 1,641 persons who recovered from the virus were discharged from hospitals, raising the number of recoveries to 273,496.

1,197 suspected COVID-19 cases are also under medical observation at present.
