Minister of Education Susil Premajayantha says a system change that the public demands must be completed through a revolutionary educational transformation.
The Minister addressing employees of the Ministry of Education in the new year said a large number of employees of the public service, including officials who held administrative positions, retired last Friday, adding that the vacancies must be filled in the new year.
He noted that at present, the world is facing the challenge of being exposed to climate changes in a negative way while the extreme cold that many countries are currently experiencing will change while Sri Lanka may have to face the opposite of climate change in future.
The Minister noted that transformations should not be limited to personnel transfers and must be practical commencing from the administrative structure and must be instilled within educational activities including in the conduct of examinations.
He also noted that it is crucial to focus on achieving sustainable development goals of providing quality education to all.
