Police have launched investigations into a phrase found written on a wall of the bedroom of the 16-year-old girl who died while employed at the residence of Parliamentarian Rishad Bathiudeen.
During inspections a Tamil phrase was found written in English, on a wall of the room that the girl was staying at while employed at MP Bathiudeen’s residence.
Police said the essence of the sentence was ‘cause of my death’.
Forensic handwriting specialists of the Government Analyst’s Department are conducting investigations to determine if the writing is of the 16-year-old.
Police Media Spokesman Senior DIG Ajith Rohana said a photograph of the relevant section of the wall was taken.
He noted investigators had also found several schoolbooks used by the girl.
Senior DIG Ajith Rohana said the books will be sent to the Government Analyst to determine if the phrase on the wall was written by the girl herself.
The Senior DIG said investigations pertaining to the death of the girl are ongoing.
