The inaugural ceremony to declare open 1,500 roads built under the National Program to develop 100,000 km of rural and by roads to the public in a single day, will be held today.
It is organized under the theme ‘සෞභාග්යය මංපෙත් විප්ලවයේ දහසකුත් වැඩ නිම වන දවස’/’The day when a thousand projects are completed in the path to a revolution towards prosperity’.
The programme will be held today at the Mandaduwa Stadium in Weeraketiya under the patronage of the President and the Prime Minister.
1,500 of these roads covering all districts and electorates of the country have been completed.
All these roads were built within three months.
