12 Indian fishermen who were arrested for allegedly fishing in Sri Lankan waters have been released on strict conditions.
The fishermen, who were arrested by the Navy while fishing in waters off Jaffna, were produced before Court on Monday and released.
The fishermen were released after being warned against reentering northern waters of Sri Lanka.
The fishermen will be handed over to the Indian Coast Guard by officials of the Immigration and Emigration Department with the assistance of the Sri Lanka Navy.
