11 senior Police officers set to retire today

Due to the completion of 60 years of age, 11 senior Police officers are set to retire today (31).

The Police Headquarters said two Senior DIGs and nine DIGs will accordingly retire.

Accordingly, Senior DIG Nandana Munasinghe in charge of Administration of Sri Lanka Police and Senior DIG in charge of the Uva Province WFU Fernando are scheduled to retire today.

In addition, DIG Augustus Perera in charge of Presidential Security, DIG in charge of the Wanni District Chandana Alahakon, DIG in charge of the Northern District EMU Vijitha Gunaratne, DIG in charge of Community Police and Security District Jagath Palihakkara are set to retire.

Deputy Inspector General of Police Champika Siriwardena in charge of the Kegalle District, DIG Kithsiri Jayalal Aponsu in charge of the Badulla District, DIG SDSP Sandanayake in charge of the Kalutara District, DIG HSN Peiris in charge of the Nuwara Eliya District and DIG Prishantha Jayakodi in charge of Western North Crime District are also scheduled to retire.
