Over 100 COVID-19 cases have been recorded from nine districts yesterday.

The number of COVID-19 cases confirmed in the country increased to 321,429 following the detection of 2,674 patients yesterday.

446 cases were detected from the Gampaha District, 377 from Kalutara, 266 from Galle, 239 from Matale, 177 from Colombo, 166 from Ampara and 127 from Matara.

116 cases were reported from Jaffna, 109 from Anuradhapura, 83 from Badulla, 72 from Trincomalee, 67 each from Kandy and Ratnapura, 65 from Monaragala, 55 from Hambantota, 53 from Batticaloa, 38 from Kurunegala and 37 from Puttalam.

32 infections were detected from Kilinochchi, 26 from Mannar, 24 from Nuwara Eliya, 11 from Kegalle, eight from Vavuniya, five from Mullaitivu and three from Polonnaruwa.

Five persons who arrived in the island recently from overseas also tested positive for the virus yesterday.
