Six districts have reported over 100 COVID-19 cases yesterday.

2,561 COVID-19 cases have been recorded yesterday, increasing Sri Lanka’s caseload to 318,755.

393 cases were detected from Gampaha, 388 from Colombo, 382 from Kalutara, 250 from Matara, 200 from Kandy and 116 from Monaragala.

98 infections were detected from Ampara, 96 from Ratnapura, 91 from Batticaloa, 83 from Nuwara Eliya, 73 from Badulla, 72 from Jaffna, 51 from Galle and 50 from Trincomalee.

47 COVID-19 cases were also identified from Hambantota, 35 from Polonnaruwa, 34 from Kurunegala, 33 from Kegalle, 23 from Kilinochchi and 10 from Anuradhapura.

Eight cases were recorded from Puttalam, four from Mannar, two each from Mullaitivu, Matale and Vavuniya, while 18 overseas arrivals also tested positive for the virus yesterday.
