Ten Sri Lankan nationals clandestinely have reached the shores of Rameswaram in India yesterday.
The Hindu reported among them were two men, two women, a youth and five children.
According to police, the Sri Lankans had left Mannar on a boat and were then dropped at an islet along the Mugutharayachathiram sea shore.
Police personnel have conducted an inquiry and taken them to a rehabilitation camp at Mandapam.
With the new arrivals, the total number of Sri Lankans who have fled the country and reached Tamil Nadu has increased to 209.
