PM says government committed to transforming Sri Lanka into a nation that creates innovation

The government is committed to transforming Sri Lanka into a nation that creates innovation, Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya said.

She said the government aims to grow the digital economy to US$ 15 billion by 2030, increase digital exports to US$ 5 billion, and develop a digital workforce of 200,000.

The Prime Minister made the remarks while attending the second day of the 26th Sri Lanka Economic and Investment Summit (SLEIS 2026), held yesterday (13) under the theme "Nation Building in the Digital Age."
