EDB, University of Kelaniya discuss language support for Sri Lanka Expo 2027

The Sri Lanka Export Development Board (EDB) has held discussions with the University of Kelaniya about providing interpretation and translation services for international delegates attending Sri Lanka Expo 2027.

Chairman and CEO Mangala Wijesinghe led an EDB delegation that met university officials to explore foreign-language support for business-to-business (B2B) discussions between international buyers and Sri Lankan exporters.

The exhibition will be held at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH) from January 14 to 17, 2027. The first three days will focus on international buyers and investors, while the final day will be open to the public.

The discussions also covered student internships, translation services, an orientation programme and recognition for students contributing to the event.
